Mixed success

CNWHC's mixed team finished as runners-up at the annual Zulu Hokey Tournament for the second successive year.

The squad ended six years of dominance by UCLAN, who beat CNWHC in the 2012 final, after they knocked the university side out via a dramatic penalty shoot out at the semi-final stage.

But the team ultimately finished in a respectable second place losing 1-0 in the final to a guest side featuring a mixture of Khalsa 1st XI players and former Coventry City players.

A special mention must go to Adam Sudale who scored the only goal of the game for the opposition as he turned out in the final against his own club.
