Coventry & North Warwickshire's under 18's travelled away to overcome a strong Worcester side and move into the last 16 of the national cup competition.
A superb performance from Captain and Keeper Adam Merrell restricted the home side to a single second half goal despite Worcester winning a series of penalty corners and generating several one on one chances.
The win was even more rewarding as with the exception of the captain the entire Coventry squad are U17 and therefore eligible to play again in next years competition.
Despite conceding the first goal the young Coventry side rallied well and fought for every ball eventually winning a second half corner from which Iwan Doherty found the top corner after Rory Kenney Herbert's initial effort was saved.
As Worcester pushed forward in search of the winner coventry broke again and Cameron Watson rounded the keeper to seal the win and a place in the last 16.
Coventry Coach Matt Kettley was extremely pleased with the work rate and composure of his young side, noting in particular outstanding efforts from Dan Williams, Adam Kier and Tom Betts.
