JAC/JDC

The Warwickshire County Hockey Association has recently advised
that arrangements for the 2015 JDC programme are almost
finalised. Players successful at JDC level will then progress to
JAC sessions.
Please note that there are no JDC sessions for U16 and U17 girls.
These players go straight to JAC sessions.
If your son/daughter previously attended a JDC, you should have
had an email asking you to confirm whether your son/daughter will
be attending the 2015 sessions. These run from September.
If you feel your son/daughter would like to attend JDC sessions,
we can nominate players, as can schools. Entering children onto
the JDC sessions can be done into September so there is plenty of
time.
In all cases, the first session is used to assess whether players
should remain involved. Where players remain involved, fees are
payable. As yet, we have not been advised of these, but expect
them to be in the region of £50 for 12 hours of pitch time and
coaching.
If you would like this club to nominate your son/daughter for the
JDC, please let me know. For your information, some of the JDC
syllabus will be run during our two Summer Camps, so these
provide good experiences for players and opportunities to prepare
for the JDC sessions and work with coaches who regularly deliver
JDC and JAC sessions. The coaches will also assess whether
children are suitable for entering JDC sessions at these camps
and during the first couple of weeks of training.
